actually, get rid of the stock airbox, clutch fan and shroud, and theres plenty of room to have a supercharger and piping fit in there. just have to clearance it to avoid the backside hitting the distributor, and keeping it above the power steering pump, but low enough for the hood to close. (yet sticking out of the hood might look kinda odd, yet mean hehe)

its all in the fabrication of the bracket. technically, if someone wasnt running A/C, they could use the A/C compressor bracket to mock it up and fit it down there (as long as you dont pick out the biggest damn centrifugal s/c out there). have the compressor outlet pointing up or towards the stock airbox area, which would make routing a front mount intercooler setup really easy...and then have the intake come in from the stock location, might have to utilize a 45 or 90 degree bend to get the air in...or run a blow through MAFs setup and just get a screen/filter for the s/c itself.

if it were able to work down there it would still be high enough to clear ground debris (but a filter or intake pipe would be required for longevity) and the pullies/belt would be easy to line up/fabricate.
