Well that's what I've read RB to stand for, and it's 15 year old technology, I'd say it's pretty damn good considering how old it is. So what if the RB26 has ITB's, they get swapped out when you want bigger power anyway, but I can mount that intake to the rb20 head if I want, but what's the poing? Or the solid lifters, I'm glad I don't have them to worry about adjusting; they're not necessary. Also, the RB26 is the one with the oilpump problem, not the 20, I haven't seen any burn up like the 26's have, but then again, they aren't usually making 800whp on the stock bottom end like the rb26 can.
The RB26 was based off of the early RB models, which happens to be the RB20. I know they have their differences, but I'd say for a factory 2.0 Liter from 15 years ago to be able to make 500whp on stock bottom end, that's impressive, and that's race built.
Frankly, I don't care what it is, so long as it doesn't sound like the SR or KA
