I beg to differ. How come *all* factory turbo cars equipped with a MAF or MAS such as Nissan Toyota Mitsubishi Ford etc...) reroute the BOV into the intake? On the other cars listed above dont the injectors stop cycling on deceleration as well just like our Nissans?
On a MAF equipped car dumping the BOV to atmosphere *will* cause the car to run rich after shifts 100% of the time. There is no other logic to it. The air is being metered by the MAF and the injectors are supplying the correct amount of fuel for the given airflow. When that metered air escapes the fuel is still added by the injectors.....right up to the point before they stop cycling. It is all a matter of the sequence of events that occur up to an including the shift into the next gear.
I dont see why everyone wants to dump the BOV to atmosphere anyways. I can still hear my BOV even though it reroutes back into the intake. If you want to be a riceboy and have a cool sound with your rerouted BOV then you also add a NA blow off valve speaker thing. Chicks dig it.
