I have done alot of Honda swaps and repairs but dont have a clue "never fixed or messed with Lexus/Toyotas" on repairing this car. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks
What is the milage on the drivetrain? You need to consider that in order to make a determination as to whether you should attempt to repair the HG or just swap a motor. If you have a high milage car you may want to consider a swap with less milage. But if you can get the HG done cheap then go that route.
The engine you seek is a rather common engine and could be found at the local salvage yards that specialize in imports. Places like Gagel's/ Japanese European/ etc. The engine code you are looking for is 3vzfe. It is the same engine that's in the camry. So if you ask for a "camry" engine you may save a couple dollars. The swap on that engine is rather straight forward and shouldn't take but a day, or maybe a wekend if you are mechanically inclined but haven't done a swap before. It helps to have friends there too.
Try this link for salvage yards across the country.
