you are wrong and dont know what you talking about. and early 2.4 and a srt 2.4 are not the same. an srt is a much more involed swap. no you cant use a srt computer in a 1st gen. you have to use the engine and dash harness, becouse of the theft features. and no one has been able to get one to run on a srt computer. they all have used stand alones becouse you cant get past the theft crap on it.

a 2.4 tranny is the same basic tranny as a 2.0 tranny neither one is stronger. an srt tranny is a diffrent story its out of a euro van. it is alot stronger and bigger than any other 2.4 tranny.

and on the axels he was asking which ones to use not which ones were stronger.
