Have you actually driven one? Turn off the traction control and it will absolutely roast the tires from a stop, seriously. Sure it weighs a lot but they are pretty quick for a 4-door Grampa car. They should have no problem smoking an Escort off the line.....
the ability to smoke your tires in first gear doesn't mean anything about straight line performance... i mean shit i could burn the tires off my friends hyundai if i wanted to, still doesn't mean it's gonna be faster than a moped.
