not really the same. In drifting you are in a sense "powersliding" once you toss the car into the corner, then you get on the gas and modulate steering, gas, brake, and ebrake if necassary. Its all in how you arive into the slide I guess. Powersliding is entering a corner at a normal speed, with a normal line, and mid apex, nailing the gas to the floor, and countersteering to compensate. Same corner, enter it higher speed, hugging the inside, turn away from the corner to track out, and then quickly turn in and lift off the gas to get the weight to transfer casuing the car to slide, then countersteer and modulate throttle through the turn.
