I was reading a debate on FA about oil coolers. Basically a guy with an oil temp sensor and a Greddy pan said that his temps never get too high, even when he takes it to a track (road course). I think if oil coolers were really that necessary, you'd see better/cheaper setups out of Japan. Although you could get a stock Z32 turbo oil cooler....
you would be surprised what happens when people are ON IT and not just doing a lapping day, but racing. The temps get up there. likewise with drifting. when doing ad emonstration, the temps get ridiculously high. but i agree, it is not a necessity.
