MY opinion (scroll down if you must) is that this wont be a Supra...worthy of the name? Yes. Really a Supra? No. More than likely a cousin. Mk4 = perfection...and well you cant go farther than perfection. I think the best looking vehicle ever made is a Mk4 with a bomex front, nothing else. That is perfect in my eyes. Not only asthetics, but performance as well: this engine was by far the most commonly said engine in the "what would be your perfect dream car" thread, despite difficulty of making it work. I think Toyota is going the wrong way by replacing the 2JZ with bigger 6 bangers arranged wrongly that even with VVTi and 2 major changes have trouble competing with an N/A Inline 6 circa 93 that has only undergone one major change. Will the V8 be indestructable and hella modable? Of course, Toyotas V8s have shown that (i-Force, 4.3 Lexus V8 )...

However 25psi put it well: twin turbo V8 seems more practical than 2 turbo'd inline motor. Since we pretty much are guarenteed it'll have boost and it'll carry the "GT" genre, I'd bet it'll have at least 1 turbo over a form of S/C. Hell maybe if we are BEYOND lucky, the regular (cheaper, non GT model) will have a 2JZ, since they still do manufacture them. Chances are...sadly...it'll be the dumbass Camry V6 though.
