For Erwin tech on hillsborough? I believe their class times are 8AM to 2PM, like 2 hours+ spent in the classroom in the morning, then hands on work in the garage until 2PM. They do financial aid to help you get all the tools you'll be needing, and I think its like $600ish worth of craftsmen stuff if you get the tools through them.

The Diesel Institute place has a mechanics school too I think....never been there though.
