Haha, No its actually on purpos because thats where the glass gets attatched to and since it might get hit hard or something if you do it smooth, itll pop off "easy" but with jagged edges gives it more to adhere to for diff strengths. IMO and I didnt care cause i figured it would be below glass so no one would see hehe.
In actuality, by not making a uniform surface, it reduces the overall strength of the product by reducing the surface area. If you had rouded it over via roundover bot or sanding, or even just beveled it you would have a fine bond, and symmetrical
