the damage isnt really to the rod itself... Its just pieces of bearing that melted onto the rod, which is what makes me think it would be a pretty easy fix.... As long as I can get new bearings to fit, it would be cool.... And the rods come with ARP bolts so that wont be a problem either....

I was thinking they could be honed or something, and then polished back to manufacturer spec.
