you're still running to small of a tire for the power that you're making.
not sure what you're spinning the thing to, but i'm assuming it's not over 7k, which means with the small tire and you're going to have to drop the gear ratio A LOT no matter what converter you put in there which will kill your 60' times and make it a pig out of the hole.. (IMHO)
best of luck man figuring it out though..I'm sure you'll get it..
(if it wasn't difficult it wouldn't be worth it now would it! )

The gear selection depends on your RPM range, I've got a 3.90 in mine with a 'Glide.. but I spin it somewhere north of 7800...
