40hp/40ft lbs could be something as little as a degree and 1/2 of timing.. and 1/2 an A/F ratio point on a turbo car. Again, JWT tunes for 91 octane, and they have to be conservative. There's always more power to be extracted.. as Scott has proven here. We do it with stand alones all the time.. JWT is good for a novice person, who doesn't know much of anything about a turbo setup. They plug it in.. and go. And even if they drop a few pounds of fuel pressure... or don't set thier distributor correctly, they won't have to worry about blowing up a motor. Now, for someone looking for optimal power, who knows how to work on thier vehicle, and can have things set up just right.. Sure, tuning for maximum power is what they should be doing.
But as far as the ability of each tuner.. I think both Clark and Scott are great tuners. Clark is 40+ years old, and has been tuning Nissan's for 20+ years. From what I have seen of Scott in the last year.. he knows what he's doing as well.
And, I can see people bieng upset about having to wait for JWT ECU's. No doubt, JWT lacks in that department. However, Clark is the only person who solders/programs out there. The sheer volume of ECU's that they put out every month is unreal.
And I'm sure Scott will attest to how much I defend JWT.

Yes, I do.. You guys have NO idea how much help I have had from them in the last 5 years.. Through camshaft development, ECU development, etc.. I wouldn't have been able to accel with the QR25DE projects as much as I have, without thier help.
Again, great job on the tuning Scott.. I'd like to see you and Clark given the same vehicle to tune on one at a time, and look at the end results.
