Definately. Being that he got the manifold from Charles, he (or john) could give you the info...looks like john's is the exact same. it feels pretty thick and i doubt it will come off. im not sure if its considered a thermal or ceramic coating...IIRC, ceramic is usually thinner but has similar good qualities on keeping the heat in control. thermal sounds more like a "lining" to me. i dunno lol.

i'd go for the higher rated one. it shouldnt cost too much more for the extra protection and peace of mind. charles told me it was $75 to do his i think.

i think powdercoating *MIGHT* work if it was based over the top of a coat of thermal/ceramic type coating but im not sure because i think the powdercoating process wont allow for both? not sure. i've seen plenty of compressor housings powdercoated (friend has his just cleared for ease of cleaning), but never seen it on a turbine or manifold.

and i am getting my manifold and o2 turndown pipe done at procoat more than likely, in that gray color, or black.
