Remember, you probably have at least twice the pressure in the exhaust manifold that you do in the intake manifold. For me, that's 46 lbs of pressure. Its going to find its way out of that manifold at that pressure.
Look in the forced induction forum for a thread comparing a poor quality log manifold with some fancy equal-length manifold on a boosted Honda. The people were promoting their equal-length manifold and didn't put much work into the log, but it shows the difference between a good manifold and a bad manifold. It really does matter- yes, even on boosted applications.
