what i find weird is that the redline is supercharged and the regular ion wit 140hp has a turbo kit available for it from rev hard that adds 75-100 hp safely on stock engine only at 6.5 psi and the regular ion has <2.2 liter engine>......instead of the redlines 2.0 liter. discuss
The kit isn't from rev hard. It is from Saturn Motorsports and now there is one from Gude. Anyways, I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but the Redline is underrated from the factory. Most stock Redlines are putting down ~210whp and 180 lbs/ft torque (not that it is much better...). Here is the dyno:

At any rate, I don't think that Saturn did a good job to compete with stuff like the SRT. It was a good idea, it just didn't measure up.
