First of all, you need AAA. It's like $80/yr or something.

Second, it's a fairly new car, find the owner's manual, grab a drink, and get to know your car.

I pulled into Tire Kingdom with the Buick, told him I need 4 new tires, keep the best one as the spare, spare's in the trunk. No problems, the guy walked out to the car, checked the tire size, and that was it. Gave me options on what kind of tire, but I had basically 2 choices, so I took the cheaper 50,000 mile tire (if I get 50,000 miles out of the car, I'll gladly buy 4 more tires)

Maybe it's the gender thing. Or you got a moron that didn't know. No I don't expect you to know your tire size. I don't know mine off the top of my head. Why should I? But they can look it up, or when the car gets there, look on the tire for you. Hell that's THEIR job, not yours. You just pay.

But if you're standing at the car, you should be capable of finding the tire size, even if you need some guidance. We all learn at some point. Even guys aren't born knowing this stuff. Most girls just don't care, so they never learn. Then they get told their tires will be $300 each, and out comes the magic card. That can be avoided, and I think that's all most of us are trying to get across.
