Why not put a mod motor in the last body style 240(don't remember the chassis #)? I don't know if it will fit easily enough in earlier years but i know a guy who has test fitted and swears the only thing needed for the engine to fit is a slightly modified oil pan, or you can go dry sump.
Probably wouldn't be cost effective. I'd just go with a 331 or 347 if I was doing a swap like that. 2v's are too expensive to make fast and 4v's are too expensive to buy in general.
