Block ( stock ) can only hold so much hp / boost. Is the main point here. It's not the vehicle that it is in. Every motor is not created equally. And L motors are not exactly the most reliable things on earth. I know of a few stock motors on stock boost that have blown up. And then others that have held 18 psi. I can go on and on about this topic. Bottom line... stick with a 4 Lb. on a stock bottom end. Don't push your luck.
I agree with you - have seen the same on f150, svtoa, flasvt, etc. However, I don't care if it blows up - then it gives me an excuse to put a built motor and a KB on it. I like pushing my luck
