I am looking at buying a 97 SOHC VTEC to install into an 89 CRX. I was reading to swap how-to on http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/index.html and was wondering how much different this swap is compared to the 92-95 motor they talk about. The motor was attached to an auto tranny and includes all the accessories such as the alt distr ac comp etc. It does not have the wiring harness or computer. If I understand right with out the later model computer and harness I can only swap the block head and distributor and would have to wire up an RPM switch for the VTEC? If I cant locate a 97 harness and computer will a 92-?harness and computer work with the 97 engine and 89 car? Please help I will probably but this engine tomorrow.
