Not at all ricey. The VG30DETT is a 3 liter V6. If the cats are removed on a Twin turbo there may be a slight rasp at higher rpms. An N/A (VG30DE)300ZX runs 10.5.1 compression & with an X or double Y pipe catback system has a deep throaty sound closer to the sound of a V8.
