and correct me if im wrong, but i think there is an "anti rip on" sensor through 1st gear and some of 2nd gear. im not 100% sure, but i think there's a sensor that keeps you from revving the motor fast in those gears, so in essence, you're still making the same horsepower, but it slows your revs down. i think theres a way to take it off, cuz my friend swapped a d16y8 into his eg after her blew his z6, and was able to get rid of the sensor
