Well as some of you may know my Z has been at Courtesy for the full repaint since some scumbag attempted to steal my baby. Well, it's been there 2 months(2 long!) but I've been very patient since the guy painting my Z does a great job, until today. This morning I received a call from the manager telling me the tech told him the front fascia will not fit on my car & due to liability issues they would not modify anything to make it work since it is an "aftermarket front bumper cover". Let me explain the problem here, the front fascia I delivered for them to install is the "98-"99 JDM which is a "Genuine" Nissan part & arrived there in the box with Nissan all over it + the part #!!!! At this point I'm pizzed off thinking I'm going to have to take the car someplace else & cough up more $$$ since this guy is flat out refusing to do the work.

I call Doug at Z- Fever & explained the situation; who came down at my request to have a look. Doug & myself then proceeded to put on the bumper support & fascia after he removed these two small brackets on the support that attach to the original fascia & all fits as it should. Doug then explains to the tech, as I had in the past, that it's a Nissan part not aftermarket. The car stayed the same with the exception of a couple of cosmetic differences to improve the airflow & update the cars appearance thru 2k when Z32's ceased to be manufactured in preparation for the intro of the 350Z. The tech was PO'd that someone had to show him what to do but Doug was professional & respectful throughout the ordeal. My thanks again to you Doug & Charles of Z-Fever for saving me from a major headache & some cash for a "modification" that wasn't needed!
