if you did everythign correctly it would be working.. so maybe you thought you did but you didn't.

go back, recheck everything.

check your wiring. maybe the idle isn't coming up because the wiring wasn't done correctly? If i remember correctly you and shaun did it, and it was the first one you've done.


what cooling method does your car have? if you are running the cluch fan, a secondary electric fan needs to be on when the a/c is runing to keep the condensor cool. otherwise the pressure will get too high and it will cycle off, even if everything was installed correctly. if you have dual electric fans, then make sure that they are on when the a/c is on!

from there, make sure that you did install a new dryer. if you did not, there will be moisture built up in there and that will keep your a/c from becoming an ice box.

lastly, make sure you don't have a leak! a leak will make you ahve all sorts of A/C problems. if everything works perfectly, the iwring is correct, the drier and charge is correct, and your condensor cooling is active, then the only thing i can think that it would be would be the expansion valve. but make sure that everything is right before you go to that diagnosis!
