Sheesh.
You know why? The girl is probably smart enough not to drift so close to curbs!
It's not that the guy sucks at drifting and the girl can drift better than him, it's that he chose the wrong line at the wrong time and the girl is probably more cautious.
At least that explains why the girl screams and freaks out so much.
I'd do the same... well I'd probably just go into shock for a minute.
