Stock T5's are not very strong. And with 100,000 plus the sucker was lucky to still be shifting - period. And without a scattershield someone is lucky they didn't lose a body part or two. I think the things are only rated for 280 - 300 lbs or torque new. Plus the thing had probably been overshifted with the stock shifter a couple hundred times. Put a Tremec in it and a good solid bellhousing. You need your feet to drive a stick
