the rod to stroke ratio of the ls is not the problem. 1.53 in an LS vs. 1.58 in a gsr is very little difference. the major difference between the 2 is that a gsr has a crank girdle for higher rpm stability and also has stronger rod bolts. just upgrade to arp's and the rod bolts wont even be an issue
