Yes anything can be installed incorrectly if one tries hard enough.
What exactly is it that you think is wrong?
As for the bumpstops the reason you need to cut them on some applications is because the car sits so much lower than it did originally that you will begin to come in constant contact with the bumpstops creating a much harsher ride.
