Not sure of any vin identification or if you could look it up, but one somewhat easy way of doing it is this ...
Put the rear of the car on jackstands, get under the car, put a chalk mark on the driveshaft, have a friend spin the wheel one full rotation and count how many times the driveshaft spins.
If it spins 3 1/4 times you have 3.23s, 2 3/4 times you have 2.73s .
