Sitting a the light on Bloomingdale a red S2000 pulls up to my left I dont think much of it because I can never get them to race but this time I hear the driver giving it a steady rev as if prepared to race now I dont really expect to race him because I am almost positive itll wax me bu I think what the hell I at least wanna give him a run for his money. the light goes green and I ease off the line to see if hes racing and sure enough I hear his engine rev as he slips the clutch off the line so I pin my trottle open and let the VTEC rip I grap seconf gear and hes at my trunk so Im thinking this is to good to be true hes gonna get me in the high end but I take him up to 3rd and he is still at my bumper. were doing about 80 and the Van in front of me is closing in fast so I brake hard and watch to poor dude in the S2000 drive by. it might sounds like bullshit but I dont bullshit what happend here? I thought these were fast?
Lemme explain it to you... Bad Driver.
The S2K is unique in the fact that it is a VERY high revving car. It does not generate power until in the 6000 rpm range. Most people are used to launching hondas in the 2500-3500 range for street racing and this does nothing but bog the hell outta the S2K. It needs to be launched around 5K and most people are uncomfortable revving that high b4 dropping the clutch... Im not so it was a fun car... but it does have a MAJOR learning curve for launching... test drive one one day... youll see then...
Good kill... driver skill is alot of racing... a fast car is nothing without the skill to use it...
