Ok guys.. Got in an disagreement with a coworker of mine. This lady had a flat tire on her 99 V6 firebird. We started to change it and I told him that we should take the flat rear tire off replace it with the front and put the spare on the front. Her v6 had the G80 code on the door panel and dual turn down pipes which ment it had limited slip with 3.42 gears.
Now I was worried that she would burn up her positraction because the donut looked smaller than the actual tire. So as long as the donut is the same height as the other tire should there be any problem?
He said that limited slip had to do with the tires spinning at wide open throttle. That he was wrong about.. I didnt argue with him... It wasnt my car that was getting the spare on the back.
Thoughts?
