this is a KA vs. SR thread but the CA is mentioned in very small amounts on the first and second pages.
only thing that is considered better as far as CA vs. SR goes is the valvetrain. the under bucket shim design (im guessing is same as direct lobe contact) in the CA supposedly is better flowing and more technological.
stock for stock:
CA 8 cam lobes (per cam)
SR 4 cam lobes (per cam)
SR aluminum block (not necessarily bad)
CA iron
CA dual intake system
it only contributes to a better top end in the CA because of its revvy nature (compared to SR). both are great engines and ive seen both before. martins should be nice as well!
basically the CA vs. SR argument is a moot point for me because its all about the amount of money and time you put into your motor. since for now im saving for an SR unless i can get CA parts alot more. (since they are rarer in the US)
my SR is gonna sit on an engine stand until it gets the full internals and everything (ill probably change my mind) so again its all about the buildup.
