A DSM, 122cubic inch 4g63 can make over 1000hp on the stock crank and block. I dont know of any ford or GM that can say that.But at the same time no DSM has made 1500 hp yet. I guess size does matter.If i was building anouther V8 right now it would be a no brainer. And it wouldnt be a ford.

1000 HP on a stock DSM block and crank from 122 ci is VERY impressive!
BTW the LS1 and LQ4 (iron block like mine) blocks and stock crank can go to the 1000 hp mark and beyond.
Look for a few of the new 6.0 aluminum (LS2) block motors out soon that will be in the 1200-1400 HP range, with aftermarket crank of course.
