Martin, how you feel about tuning the FC vs an actual stock SR Rom tune? I've never ventured into the PFC, but its starting to look like an option vs a Rom tune. Though I know both are good either way you go, cost and easy of tuning are factors Im looking for. And of course it helps that my tuner(whoever they should be)is comfortable with tuning my vehicle initially and once I decide to change/upgrade. I was looking for abour 25-50 more whp but so far its look pretty good.
rom tune is good.. power fc has a 20x20 resolution... rom tune 16x16.. not a big enough difference to warrant a power fc purchase for your hp goals. Power FC has had a great advantage over rom tune for the diy tuner.. which is tracing. Unless you were really good with rom tuning like scott than you were seriously just guessing at best when burning a rom.. Anyways that has sort of changed as I now have a new rom tool that does tracing and lets me tackle rom tuning in a very quick manor. It also does dwell duty(coil charge time).. but that is for you high hp freaks.... Anyways to stay with the topic at hand.. a rom tune will be more than enough to meet your goals.. If you want to tinker yourself... PFC then.
