There wasn't a bearing on my old shifter if it's what I'm thinking.
the new shifter came with 2 rubber rings to hold it centered in place.

the rubber piece that holds the shifter in place where the ball of the shifter is, is where the noise is coming from.
also where the shaft goes into the tranny there's a squeeking
omg dude, you have to reuse the stock bearing!!!! it's there, it just slides out of the old shifter, replace the o-rings, and you're good to go. the b&m requires the reuse of the stock bearing, shifters like skunk2 (which i have) come with their own sealed bearing in which you do not reude the stock unit, if you don't have one, get one, that's the only way the b&m will work.
