With a good set of pads I dont see why that wouldnt be sufficient. Only draw back to getting higher performance pads though is increased rotor wear but thats the price you pay for better braking.
Since you dont road race there isnt really a need for a big brake upgrade. The larger swept area resulting from those kits are as much for stopping power as they are for greater heat reduction so I wouldnt worry about for normal street driving or autocross.
