Hey all, got a question for you GM people out there. Obviously I don't know a whole lot about them.
Here's the situation. The GF was driving to my house from St. Pete (I live near Lakeland). Her car quit at about exit 22 on I-4 . She calls me and tells me her car is on fire, I asked her what color smoke and she said white. I asked her if she checked the water recently she said no. Low and behold we get it towed back to the homestead and the head was cracked. I pulled a head out of a U-Pull it on 92 for 34.99. It came out of a 90 Chevy Cavalier, we have a 90 Beretta. Should be the same right?
Here's the dilemma, come to find out the head is not the same. I matched the part # on the head to a 95-97 cavalier/beretta head. The head gasket is a perfect match, as well as the exhaust and water outlet adapter housing. The intake manifold holes/coolant ports line up, BUT 2 of the bolts on the upper driver's side of the head don't line up with the Intake manifold. I'm thinking of just putting a large washer on them and tightening them down good until I can fabricate some kind of adapter.
According to the specs this will up her car about 30 horsepower and 10ftlbs of torque.

Kinda an added gift for a mistake. Does anyone know of this as a swap? Also, does anyone know if there's something I'm missing that won't match up?
Thanks in advance.
