You know those "driver's meetings" things they're always talking about? You're supposed to go to those.
I have yet to go to an autox in gainesville where they don't mention it (I've been to at least 6 days there within the past year)....and their policy is more like "2 wheels or more on the grass twice and you're out". They give you one warning.
