THis is the real story of what happened-

It was a warm night, the midnight stars cast their rays of light on the path that lye ahead. None of the men knew where the path would take them or what would be waiting ahead. With each man staring into the eyes of the other, they knew only one, and no more than 1 would come out alive.. Only one would be going home on his own, and only one would be carried home on a stretcher.
The Gaze seemed to last forever.... perhaps it was it was the intoxicating aura emitted by the moon, or the darkness of the night pushing to prevail over the light of the midnight stars.... But whatever it was, that gaze seized a moment in time all to itself.

It was time. The crowds gathered as the two men readied themselves for what was to be their time, their fight, ones glory, and ones agony of defeat. Both mounted their chariots as the crowds cheered with an uproar that would make the strongest of lions tremble. The chariots shot off into the night, racing down a path that held their fates in one hand. One could neither deny that they were destined to battle nor deny that it was the hand of fate to cast upon them what lye ahead.

A last glance into the eyes of the enemy and 3 loud shouts signaled the battle to begin. The wheels of the chariots were turning, the chariot of green skin launched out in front with precision and grace, while the chariot of black flared its nostrils and inhaled with such fury that a loud whistle sounded from its breathing. The man who covered himself in green knew all to well the profound strength of the man who covered himself in black. No one could mistake the evident nostrils and the power, power that rivaled that of Achilles himself.
Nonetheless the man who covered himself in green has claimed the lives of many who dared to challenge him.
The air of which the chariot of black inhaled swelled its body and compressed natures life substance into a more dark and powerful fuel used to slaughter all those who oppose. The man who covered himself in black smiled as he all to recognize the smell of blood that has not yet been spilled.
The man who covered himself in green heard the ever-closing sound of the whistle approaching closer..... and closer.... and closer.... With all the courage and strength he called upon the power of his gods to favor him, to allow him the power to succeed. And in that instant, like a flip of a switch, energy so great coursed through his being and the chariots body. The man who covers himself in green shot out with a scream of vengeance.

The crowds roared so loud that the Gods of Mount Olympus could not ignore.
Seeing this the Gods that favored the man who covered himself in black granted their strength to him as well....

The Black chariot like a flip of a switch sped off to close the gap between his rival.

The man who covered himself in green gasped for air as his strength weakened... it was too much... to much power for a man to wield. But no.. he must go on... he must fight.
But it is not a mans will to question fate. It is not a mans freedom to deny the constraints of destiny.
And in that moment of time a shadow cast itself over the man who covered himself in green. He fell from his chariot as the black chariot roared past him. A bowl of dust engulfed the man of green as he rolled and stumbled to a stop. There he lay, his green chariot shatter, broken... defeated.
The man who covered himself in black tasted the blood in the air, felt the presence of fear, and smiled at the thought of his victory. He turned his chariot of black around to face his fallen adversary. The black nostrils flared out at the man of green who remained motionless on the ground.

The crowd was silent.... they could not believe the drama that was unfolding.. The Gods sat in silence as well.....
The man who covered himself in black held his spear to the throat of the man of green who stared endlessly into the eyes of the one who had conquered him. The stars of the night sky shined a light so bright on the blade of the spear that it awoke the sun.
No one had ever rivaled the man who covered himself in black so well... no one had ever come so close to ousting his God like power. Being a man of Honor he respected the man of green... And with that he lifted the spear and extended his hand.... The sun now has risen to take its place were the stars once shined... The two men... without a word felt everything the other was feeling...
So in the end, Man was able to curb fate... as it was fate that the man of green's chariot was to be taken home on a stretcher, but both men would go home to challenge each other again, another day. and inhaled with such fury
