Hey Mars 302 the camera takes pix at a high resolution that way you can blow them up and the pix will look perfect....thats how the do profesional pix,posters, billboards and so on.....pm me if you have anymore questions.......
Im not gonna be a dick here or anything, but they dont use digital cameras for billboard pics. If they do, its more likly a medium format with a digital back. And most professionals a stadard is 300 PPI to even do magazine ads. You can get with as little as 150 ppi for a poster, but anything less than that you will lose detail.
Since yours is a 5 megapixel camera, your rez is around 2500x1900 at 300 ppi(pixels per inch) So at the rez and ppi that comes out to about 8.3"x6.3" So at about 150 ppi for a decent poster, you are looking at a 16"x12" poster.
Its a cool poster, ive made one myself for TR that is 10,000x4500 something pixels. But im just saying 5 megapixels isnt enough for a poster that large.
