ok...let's break it down.. you bought a used motor from someone who bought a used motor. they have no history or invovlement with that motor. they do not know who the original owner is or who has driven it since. they are a broker. they bought a used motor and you in turn bought a used motor from them. how can they be responsible? there is no guarantee. as estavan has posted, if you want a good motor, then simply test before purchase. be picky. as they motors become rarer, they are going to be of less quality as time goes by.

i feel as a consumer, .these days, you are bettter off buying a clip and having the shop install it. then you get at least some guarantee.

i personally would not warranty something i bought sight unseen and then sold to someone else.. it defies good business judgement.

to break it down further. engine sellers are pimps selling whores... who in their right mind is going to warranty a whore?
