Chris IMO you should try and get a GSXR 750. After thinking about it I think you would do a lot better on one. It would be kind of hard to out grow that bike as quick as a 600.

A 600 is a great bike for twisties. With that said Florida doesn't have many nice roads around here. I really think a 750 or bigger would be a better buy for you.
