I demodded the mustang quite a bit because of several reasons and things I want to do in the next year. One of those is to buy a bike... others are save for a house, etc...

Anyone who knows me knows that if I go buy a slow starter bike, I won't be happy with it for long, lol... Everything I have tends to get modded, etc... I don't expect this to be any different and I don't want to sell it a month after I get it to upgrade...

Everyone says that a 600 will not take long to get used to, so that's what I've been looking at. So I've been looking around for a nice bike a couple years old with decent mileage, but there aren't a lot out there that I've found that aren't ridiculously overpriced.

Sorry I'm not going to pay $5000 for a 98 CBR600 with 18,000 miles, blah blah blah or $4000 for a 96 with 20,000 miles, etc..

So I've been looking around at a few newer bikes. Found:

a 2000 CBR600 with 3500 miles on it for $4700 or so (don't like the color - yellow with black isn't bad, but it just looks plain on this bike)

a 2000 R6 with 4000 miles on it that would be about $5500.

a 2003 R6 with 3000 miles on it for $6200 (it's the black and red one, but a couple states away - so I would have road trip costs)

a few 2000-2002 GSXR600's with around 5000 to 10,000 miles on them for $5000 - $5500 or so

I've been looking all over the net, ebay, cycletrader. various websites, called RTM, been to throttle factory.... just doesn't seem like there are a lot of bikes in the $4-5000 range out there so my range went up a bit.

Do these prices seem reasonable to you guys. Yeah everyone knows someone who picked up a great bike for some super cheap deal, but that doesn't seem to be the norm this time of year. I'm looking to pick something up with cash in the next few weeks.

Opinions between the choices?
