you are correct, the patter is the same on all uniforms, but is different for different types of fabric(ie woodland, popland). but the fabric may have been put together differently creating a different pattern.

anyway, they do have templates for camo. i had to use one when i wrecked my hummer and had to put a new hood on it. i dont think you'll be able to get the same paint the military uses. i cant remeber what exactly is in it, i've been out for almost 4 years. but i do remember having to wear a full body cover and mask because the paint was highly cancerous, due its ability to shield the hummer from radar.
