Again, it depends on what car you're putting them on. 195/50-15 is the stock 15" size for a Miata, fits perfectly and works very well with my 15x6.5" wheels.
Look up some tire specs. You can put anything from a 185 to a 225 on a 6.5" wheel with 195-205 being optimal. Here's a
good example.
