So I got fired...
Aparently my extensive (not really) knowledge of computers and network security was NOT a helpful skill at Brighthouse networks Road Runner tech support... in training yesterday, we got to meet the CSO(secuirty officer) for their entire network. Myself and two others, very curious on what his job entailed, asked him what he would do against hackers and virii, DDoS etc... The four of us talked rather intricatly about isses we had encountered in our own networks and what we would do to prevent these attacks...
Well we scared him, and are now unemployed.
The offical reason from HR why I was released from employment?
Unattentive in training, and a bad attitude.
Granted I've expressed issues with road runner, everyone has them, but I by FAR do not have a bad attitude.
In fact, I was the first one done the entire training period with everything, helped out other trainees with answers and questions. Was ALWAYS there an hour+ early, everyday.
I was very interested in higher positions with this company, and Im severely PISSED off that their lack of intelligence in the security department has cause me to lose a very great opportunity in my career....
Go figure.... anything like this happened to anyone else?
