Give me a damn break. Just because you've bought into the JDM hype doesn't mean everyone else should. Tien makes some nice components but their lower level stuff is shit. Add that to the fact that to the fact that getting your shocks serviced is a hell of a lot harder than a Koni setup and I'll stick with the American brands. I think it's around $50 or so per shock to revalve and a little extra to shorten the stroke. I can go to countless dealers in the US, get my shocks serviced, and have them back in a relatively short time. I'd be interested to know what the turn-around time for a set of Tien shocks would be. Getterdone...what the hell ever.

Anyways, back on topic. Why bother with a set of coilovers? A set of drop springs will give you a reasonable height reduction and still ride decently with some aftermarket shocks. The whole point of a coilover system is chassis tuning. Unless you're going to use the adjustability of the coilovers why bother?
