OUCH! In his defense, on his last post he said he usually wears his gear but he was just headed to school and then back home when it happened. Anyone who has owned I bike knows that sometomes you don't feel like throwing all the gear on to go 5 minutes down the road especially if you don't live in high traffic areas. I know I didn't.
I ALWAYS wear my gear. You don't dress for the ride, you dress for the crash...........
I went down at about 45-50mph (same speed as Nate) and walked away with about 2 quarter-sized spots of road rash. Thanks to my gear, I was able to laugh it off (wreck was my fault) rather than get hauled away in an ambulance to the ER.
