Well, Speaking of dumb luck...I found the problem.
I finally got the gumption to go out and tackle the problem, Turns out the screw that holds the rotor in place broke, The head snapped off and chewed the top of the rotor up.
Bet no one has every seen this happen before.
All 4 points on the inside of the dizzy cap are pretty chewed up, But I used the older rotor I got off of Kris's '97 Dizzy he gave me.
It was enough to get the car up the driveway and safe in the garage till tomorrow when I can go pick up a new rotor and screw.
The head of the screw was all chopped to hell, doesn't even resemble a screw head anymore.
Luckly it doesn't look like there's any damage to rest of the distributor.
Good thing that guard was reinstalled after I got the igniter replaced last Monday.
I had to extract the rest of the screw from the rotor shaft, Hope I didn't mess up the thread pattern.
I tried to be careful.
Here's some of the aftermath pics.
I dropped the screw head in the engine bay on accident otherwise I'd post pics of that.
Looked for 10 minutes but gave up do to total darkness and lack of Patience.
Thanks again for all your suggestions and help.
